History

The Beginning

Medical Software Integrators incorporated in 1973.  Pat Mooney and Nick Edwards started the business as a software developer and service bureau running Burroughs mainframe computers.  Software was developed for Credit Unions, Mental Health Centers, Physician Billing, Payroll, and General Ledger accounting. 

1970's

MSI was the 1st company in Florida to successfully transmit electronic Medicare and Blue Shield Claims in the state of Florida.

MSI processed over 30 of Florida’s 67 counties Mental Health Centers.

MSI processed Payroll for 100 Pensacola businesses.

MSI processed General Ledger, Financial Statements, 941’s and W2’s for many local CPA and Accounting Firms.

1980's

MSI wrote software to bill Insurance companies and Patients for the 1st independent Radiologist to run Sacred Heart’s radiology department.

MSI wrote the software to merge the City of Pensacola and Escambia County billing records when ECUA was formed.

1990's

MSI is in the top 100 Dealers for Medical Manager Practice Management Software in the country.

2000's

Our team received the award for Outstanding Achievement twice from Henry Schein Medical Systems for our sales and support of the MicroMD Practice Management and Electronic Medical Record program.

MSI Technologies was formed to provide Professional and Managed IT services to non-medical markets.
